feeding the fish

fish spa is the craze now. in bukit bintang area, the first to start the craze is pavilion but it's quite expensive i think. i saw a promotion at berjaya times square. at rm28 for 1/2 hour, now that's a bargain.

from the pamphlet given (edited):
fish spa therapy originates from turky and japan. this is a very unique beauty therapy. at such spa, many garra rufa, a type of small tropical fish, also nicknamed chinchin yu, a nibble fish or simply doctor fish, are put in hot springs. as they can live and swim freely in at least 40-degree-hot water, they are naturally used to treat skin diseases. they only consume the affected and dead areas of the skin, leaving the healthy skin to grow. it is also believed to be able to ease skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. the process is painless, however one might feel a pleasant tingling. your feet will become smooth and better blood circulation.

there were two sections, one consists smaller fishes and the other one bigger. being a first timer in this, i decided to 'feed' the smaller fishes first. the bigger ones looked like piranhas to me.

first, you would need to clean your feet. they just sprayed water on my feet without scubbing them.

now, feeding time! it was very ticklish and i was giggling here and there. the fishes were nibbling my feet!

aha!!! lovely foot. let's eat it!!

however i soon stopped giggling. i learnt that it had psychological impact on your brain if you kept looking at the fishes feeding on your feet. vision + physical = giggle. i looked elsewhere and the nibbling wasn't that bad.

i spent raya with pak lah

prime minister of malaysia, the honourable datuk seri abdullah badawi and other muslim ministers held an open house in pwtc on the first day. i missed it the previous year and vowed would not miss this year's. maybe it would be the last raya for pak lah as prime minister... parking was free for the day as announced in the news. being the kiasu that i was, i arrived at 10.30am and quickly parked at a spot closed to the lift. however around 12.30pm when the function started, there were still lots of empty parking spaces.

the crowd was huge.

one of the placards hanging from the ceiling. sorry the picture was blur coz it wouldn't keep still due to the wind.
guards and policemen were controlling the people

we had to go up two escalators to reach the hall. to make it worse, they were not working. i think they were switched off on purpose to make us exercise before the big feast! i need that...

i finally reached the entrance where pak lah and other vips were waiting for me.. ekeke... at first, pak lah wasn't there. maybe he was taking a leak or whatsoever then finally he reappeared and all the photographers lining up on a special dais and took out their equipments for some shots.

i took this photo before the 'moment' but some moron blocked pak lah..
and i shook pak lah's hand!!!! i wished him happy raya and he mumbled something which i didn't get. jeanne wasn't there, too bad. then i shook najib's hand but he looked serious.

i didn't shake hands with hishamuddin and his wife coz they were at the end of the line and i was tired of queing up.
there were lots of dishes served there. some that i remembered; kuih, cookies, serunding, rendang, ketupat, fried chicken, rice, noodles and bee hoon, popiah, some other food which i didn't know the name. yeah, i am good at eating only, i don't bother with the names.

they seated us on round tables where you sat with strangers. the tables were placed downstair from the dishes place and there was no escalator going up and the stair was blocked with partitions. again this was part of their diet plan for us, to prevent us from going back for second round.

the performance for the crowd's amusement.

the actress in the local sitcom, pi mai pi mai tang tu
selamat hari raya!!!

it was an experience! it would be the first and last one for me for i couldn't stand the crowd and waiting..

my latest korean fad

is the korean drama Time Between Dog and Wolf.

is about xiu xian

who loves his childhood friend, ah li

they first met as kids in thailand. however tragedy struck and xiu xian's parents was murdered by a gangster who is ah li's dad. of course xiu xian didn't know this until later. he built his dream to kill his parents' murdered but couldn't do so when he had the chance when he found out the person he was about to kill was the dad to the girl he loves.

this is lee joon ki in real life. frankly, he looks sooooo much better in the drama with short hair instead of this 'mane'. he spotted the same mane too in the drama my girl and i dislike him as the slit eyes long hair guy who's trying to steal the girl from the guy she likes.

Name: Lee Joon Ki
Birthdate: 1982-Apr-17
Birthplace: Busan, South Korea

i think the long hair emphasize his small eyes even more prominently. therefore my suggestion to lee joon ki, please keep your hair short!

skipped work

i took emergency leave from work today and lied that i was feeling not well. i think God decided to teach me a lesson for lying and therefore i was really sick, although not that bad.

i was

now am

moral of the story: do not lie to skip work. even though you feel lazy, you still have to drag your heavy ass to work.
