kampar's chicken bread

on my way back to kl from ipoh last early this month, i used the old road (without toll). the benefit is you get to see the towns along the way - gopeng, bidor, tapah, kampar and etc. we made a stop in kampar to have a lunch. having read about the famous kampar chicken bread, i made a search for it and managed to buy from yau kee restaurant nearby. you can't miss it since it is located in the town center and no pun intended, kampar is a small town.

there are two types of bread you can purchase; curry and herbs. i bought the curry one for RM25. the price is the same for herbs.

this is the box cover

when i opened the box to reveal its content, my first impression is 'holy cow, it's huge!'

instructions on how to prepare the bread for consumption

these are my pathetic attempts to follow the instruction. look at the end result. i should have left it to mum.

if you like curry and bread, you will love this. as for me, it's just curry stuffed into a load of bread. i think it is half of a chicken and potatoes cooked in curry.

at least i can say, i have eaten kampar's chicken bread! have you??!!
