hail ipoh foods (night)

at night, we went to the infamous lou wong restaurant for the popular chicken bean sprout dish. tables were layed on the street just beside the shop and they were nearly all filled. there was a night market nearby.

when you managed to get a table, a person would come to your table carrying plastic glasses of drinks in one tray bordered with wire. the drinks consist of barley, 'somboi', 'lenggeng' and other self-made drinks. not the concentrated or caned kind of drinks. i chose myself barley mixed with maize and some other unfamiliar stuff. actually, it tasted good. not bad at all. it costs rm1.30/glass.

the sign in lou wong. it read 'THE MOST FAMOUS IN (IPOH)SPECIALISED IN CHICKEN BEAN SPROUTS

sar hor fun. mum actually ordered this as kuew tiaw soup, luckily the staff understood her. hor fun are smoother and tender than kuew tiaw.

taugeh.. absolutely good to eat and crunchy.

overall, i was satisfied for being able to taste this dish which got everyone talking although mum commented the hor fun was kinda salty and the chickies were only ok which i agreed. however, the taugeh were unlike we have eaten before.
